Hey guys hope you all are enjoying your week. Through out the winter season we tend to pay closer attention to our scalp. I know I do I make sure I add some sort of moisture to may hair such as coconut oil or Shea butter. Moisturizing your scalp is a must the air is much harsher but with all of the oils being added we have to be mindful of product build up.
I know for myself I shared with you all that I suffer from dry scalp it’s definitely a pain. It’s like wild-fire if you scratch just a little you end up scratching all over your scalp. With that being said there is nothing wrong with trying to combat dry scalp. However, because you are compensating for the change in weather with more oils to your scalp you have to also deal with the additional build up.
In the winter you may think that you would wash your hair less, because you are sweating less but no you would be wrong. When your scalp is itching uncontrollably in the winter you may have just settled for the explanation of dry scalp, but in fact it maybe a mixture of dry scalp and scalp build up. When this happens wash, condition, and start over. It is important to keep your hands out of your hair. Do what it takes to keep your scalp clean and moisturized. Remember, be happy, be curly, be you, and you will never fail.
