I’ve decided you are the one for me

For the past few weeks I have been doing the same routine that I shared in whipping up a lil sumpin. I decided that I would continue the routine for the month of July. I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the benefits from the routine. The combination of cleansing with apple cider vinegar,  my DIY conditioner, and I can’t forget pre-pooing with coconut oil has been a game changer.

My shedding has been cut big time. It’s less than half the amount that I would have ordinarily lost on any given wash day. It barely fits in to a ball. Did I mention that that’s with a wide tooth comb not finger detangling.

If I’m honest, I’m not pressed to go back to my store brought cleansers and conditioners. If you have checked out the previous post you may remember I talked about having dry scalp. With  the apple cider wash I kissed my dry scalp good-bye.

My conditioner in all its shea butter, coconut oil, and almond goodness has left my hair beyond manageable. Even after rinsing it out the shine and moisture is there. I honestly feel that if I didn’t put product in after my conditioner my curls would still look wonderful.

I can’t forget how much the pr-pooing alone has really helped. Like I mentioned in a previous post I like to detangle before cleansing. Pre-pooing with coconut oil alone has made it so much easier to detangle. After I cleanse my hair thanks to prepooing my hair doesn’t feel striped or dry.

So far I have experienced all good things. My hair has been soft, shiny, and light. When I started this journey I wasn’t thinking long-term. Now that I have been at this for a few weeks it has come down to what works. I encourage you to find out what works and take your time to really see the benefits. I will be sharing my final thoughts later on this month. Remember, be happy, be curly, be you, and you will never fail!
