Hey Afro Frenziers! I hope that you have been enjoying your week so far.One thing you will know if you read any of my post is that moisture is highly promoted here at Afro Frenzy. Believe it or not adding moisture to your hair is just as important as drinking it.With the seasons getting colder its easy to not realize that you haven’t been hitting up a bit of h20 every now and again. It’s important to know the signs of being dehydrated.
The signs are dry lips, dry skin, feeling light-headed, feeling sluggish or tired, nausea, dry mouth, yellow urine etc. Most of us don’t drink as much water as we should. I mean over fifty percent of our bodies are water so that’s a serious problem if your not getting your due portion.
Heres the thing if you don’t drink enough water your mouth is not the only thing that will be parched. Your hair and scalp needs to be watered. With out the beloved h20 things tend to get a little out of whack.
Dry and itchy scalp can be caused by bots of eczema, and a plethora of other scalp conditions, but maybe before you self diagnose try water. Drink the recommended amount of water a day and see if that doesn’t make a difference.
For me it definitely does make a difference. Like I said the signs of dehydration are dry skin well guess what your scalp counts as skin. Don’t my forget to drink water just as much as you moisturize and deep condition. Remember, be happy, be curly, be you, and you will never fail!
