Hey, Afro Frenzies! I hope that you have been having an amazing hair week. Hopefully your days have been full of shea butter, coconut oil melanated hugs and kisses. Now to the nitty gritty! When I say just happened upon a new shampoo well… let’s just say it’s a stretch. It was more like I made a mad dash to the hair section.
You know how we do! We go to the store with bae to get something totally unrelated to hair. I do what one would call the switch and bait. It goes a little something like this.
“Oh yes babe I’m going to go get the whatever you actually came there for and then you slid off to hair section. Before or after you got what you need. In short that’s how I came to find a new shampoo for my hair product stash.
The hair line is called Love Beauty and planet. Now more recently I have been a bit particular about what I put in my hair (as we should be). They have several options but what I used was the Argon oil and Lavender shampoo.
The shampoo is a sulfate and silicon free which is a plus always👌🏾. I was very comfortable with the ingredients. They are very transparent with the ingredients they use.
I love lavender and Argon oil and that’s what initially drew me to the Love Beauty and Planet collection. I was apprehensive about trying out a new shampoo, but I was not disappointed.
The lavender and Argon oil is manufactured for the purpose of calming definition for frizz. That’s cool with me, because the battle of frizz and curl in my hair is a civil war. Its up to me to fight on behalf of my curls. Yeah that’s right I’m sumpin like super hero.
If your looking for a shampoo that cares about the planet and uses ingredients that you can be proud of I say give it try. As far as store brought products go this is definitely something I would recommend. I mean even the bottles are 100 percent recyclable.
They say their products are “for you and for the planet” I would say they definitely are for us and it being vegan (and good for the 🌎 ) is a plus. They look out for the planet with one hand and your hair with the other.
So far I have only used the shampoo. I was able to detangle and reach twist out perfection. I will be trying out the conditioner soon. Let me know if you have given this line a try in the comments below. Remember, be happy, be curly, be you and you will never fail!
