Aye y’all! I hope your week has been amazing so far. Let’s talk travel Afro frenzies. I would like to share with you guys what was in my goodie bag on my last adventure. So, a few weeks ago I went away to Virginia Beach to support a very special young lady in her cheerleading competition (which she won).Usually when I’m staying at a hotel there is something I must have.
You may have guessed it and that’s shampoo. The reasoning is because we’ll a girls gotta-check out the pool or hot tub of course. As we all know chlorine can be damaging and just can’t stay in our beautiful manes with out reaking havick.
Conditioner of course. There is no cleansing with out replenishing your curls with some sort of conditioner. I believe that’s a natural hair law or something.
And of course whatever your styling agents are. In this case my home made whipped shea butter and eco styler gel cuz a girl needs hold even on the run.
Now here’s the thing I was traveling with bae so of course you gotta have him covered too.He uses the Treseme line which is a win for me because I can just bring his conditioner and we both good. Of course his lock and twist gel.
I didn’t bother bringing oils because my whipped shea butter can double as my daily moisturizer.
For me traveling with natural hair means bringing the essentials. Part of lightening the load is finding products that double just like my whipped shea. A styler and daily moisturizer in one.
If my hair is already done and I’m going on an over night I’m light as a feather. I’ll only bring my bonnet and a oil or daily moisturizer. It all depends on what my trip requires.
I would love to hear from you guys in the comments. Tell me what are some of your essential hair products when traveling. Remember, be happy, be curly, be you and you will never fail!
