Brittle hair breaks

@carlos_daniel_songz

Hey Afro Frenzies!! It’s been another beautiful week! I hope that you were able to take advantage of yet another week of sunshine. Because baby fall is yet approaching! With that being said let’s get into it!

This post is inspired by a conversation that I had with my momma. We were talking about our hair goals. Which of course included length retention.

Healthy hair grows we know this to be a fact, but so does unhealthy hair. The difference between the two is healthy hair retains its length unhealthy hair does not. Our hair is always growing but, retaining our length is up to us.

During my conversation with my momma I just said to her “brittle hair breaks” (hence the name of this post).Moisture is big for me.

One of the best ways I protect my hair against being dry is by conditioning. When I say condition I mean frequently. I try to deep conditioning once a week.

Cant fit in a weekly deep condition? No worries just do it as often as you can. I’m trying to tell you it’s a game changer. After proper conditioning follow up by adding penetrating oils and layer up with butters, leave in conditioners or curly creams.

Remember Brittle hair will surely break! Pick hair products that start off with water as the first ingredients. Maybe even try prepooing which I live by. Don’t over shampoo stay away from agents that will dry your hair like sulfate and silicons.

Hair breakage when your hair is brittle is inevitable. Prevention is key when it comes to brittle hair. You want to nip it in the bud before it wreaks your hair goals. Don’t wait until you have brittle hair to take action turn a new leaf today. Remember, be happy, be curly, be you, and you will never fail!
