Hey Afro Frenzies! Oils and butters are a huge part of a Naturals life style. I mean where would we be with out our whipped butters and our mixed oils. In turmoil is the only answer I can come up with.

Well Frenzies, I would like to share with you my first experience applying Jamaican black castor oil to my hair. I know right I’m uber late on this one. But it wasn’t until a few years ago that I started using this particular oil.

I usually stick to light oils like coconut oil and almond oil. Actually that’s what I apply on the daily. I have used products that have contained Jamaican Black Castor oil, but I hadn’t tried it in it’s natural state (oil). Im not saying an auntie or my mom hadn’t throw it up in there in the past I just hadn’t.

Let me just break down my first impression. Jamaican Black Castor oil is a lot thicker then the other oils I tend to use. But baby it gets the job done. A little bit goes along way. I heard that it was thick but literally about 5 small drops(less then a handful) covered the length of my hair.

That’s saying something. Cuz if you know like I know ya girl is heavy handed. I now have a new appreciation for The thicker oils especially Jamaican Black Castor oil.

In addition to using it in my whipped butters and gels it is now an addition to my daily oils. However, I will say the consistency took some getting use to. Jamaican black castor oil is so thick it’s almost sticky, and the smell (as most know ) is stronger then other oils.

The benefits of Jamaican Black Castor oil are undeniable. I would not have been able to regrow my edges as quickly as I have with out it. If your looking to grow, or thicken your hair J.B.C is your best friend. It has definitely been mine. Remember, be happy, be curly, be you, and you will never fail!
