Hey! I’m officially the momma of a one year old woot woot!!! I cant tell you how amazing that is for me. One year down a life time to go💃🏾.A few weeks after his birthday I decided to celebrate by giving him his first hair style (outside of his adorable curly fro that’s also amazing).

I really didn’t put much thought into it. I was doing Eden’s hair and I decided to switch it up. Finger coiling seemed like a good idea so I went for it.

It was the perfect first hair style. It aslo helped that If i didn’t like how it looked I could always unravel them. Wether I kept them in or not I knew I would end up with a style.

Un raveling the coils would just give him well defined curls (once they dried). Finger Coils are dope because they are low minuplation, fast, and wont create tension for his scalp: See pretty perfect for the first hair style.

Whatever you decide for your munchkins first hair style its pretty exciting. If I were to offer any advice it would be to be gentle, keep your little one occupied , and be flexible. Remember, be happy, be curly, be you, and you wil never fail!
