Hey Gurl! Hey! I hope your week was amazing. Here’s the thing usually the only ingredient in my spray bottle is water. But ba..by.. this time I needed a bit more help. I’m lying a lot more help!
Let me set the scene, ya girl was in a pinch! I went to the store twice. I just kept coming back with the wrong thing. I went to get conditioner and then realized it had aloe in it and I’m definitely allergic to that so that’s a no go.
I went for a second time and still got the wrong thing. Ya girl got the right brand the right line organix coconut curls. Problem is I grabbed a large container of shampoo instead of conditioner 🤦🏾♀️.
I can’t tell you where my head was. What I can tell you is how I turned my situation into a win. Thankfully I had some things around the house that really helped me out. If you read any of my post you know I’m all about conditioning. I don’t skimp on conditioning so to replace it I had to go big!
Here’s what I pulled out of my arsenal of oils and such. Rose water, vitamin e, and collagen along with water of course. I cleaned my hair as usual and then I sprayed my hair and tied it up.
The next day I rinsed it out and moved on with styling. After all the trips to the store and all the hiccups it all worked out. I choose the ingredients I did because I knew that they would all hydrate, soften and condition my hair.
The ingredients I used don’t have to be rinsed out. Actually like you do with your spray bottle at home you can leave in and spray as needed. No harm done either way. The only reason I rinsed my hair is because I have allergies and let’s face it roses as wonderful as they are they are still a plant.
Full disclosure I would not recommend using items that you may have a sensitivity to. What I do recommend is knowing your body well enough to know what it can handle. For me I know I can handle spraying rose water on my hair only and covering it.
But I know if I roll around in fresh cut grass skin exposed I’m gonna be in a bad way. The same way I know if I put aloe on my skin is going to peel up like nobodies business. Listen to your body and pay attention to your reactions. If you don’t believe me check out my previous blog post memmba that time my edeges fell out.
I hope that this blog post was helpful. Share in the comments what you been putting in your spray bottle lately. I would love to hear from you. Remember, be happy, be curly, be you, you will never fail!
